School Diversity Week 2024 will take place 24-28 June.

Following the success of School Diversity Week 2023, where more than 6,000 primary and secondary schools took part, Just Like Us has announced the dates for the next event.

While 24-28 June are the official event dates for primary and secondary schools across the UK, schools are able to celebrate LGBT+ inclusion whenever suits them.

What is School Diversity Week?

School Diversity Week is a celebration of LGBT+ equality and inclusion, celebrated by thousands of primary and secondary schools. Just Like Us provides free resources to help you celebrate.

Positive LGBT+ messaging is linked to school pupils having better wellbeing, regardless of whether they’re LGBT+ or not.

Get resources and support to help you celebrate

Just Like Us provides school staff with free resources, as well as support, to help with celebrating School Diversity Week.

School staff can sign up for School Diversity Week 2024 now, and get access straight away to these free resources.

The free resources include videos, posters, circle time and form time activities, subject-specific lesson plans, assembly slides and more.

There are resources available for all key stages, across all curriculum subjects. All resources are ready-to-go and are designed by teachers, for teachers.

These include resources specifically designed for faith, SEND and Welsh schools with Welsh-English bilingual resources.

Laura Mackay, CEO of Just Like Us, said: “Upon hearing the inspirational anecdotes from young people and teachers alike, it was confirmation that I’d joined a wonderful charity.

“I witnessed the fantastic engagement and increased success of School Diversity Week 2023 as I took up my role – I can’t wait to get stuck into planning and working alongside dedicated school staff, students and the team at Just Like Us to enable this programme to flourish even further in 2024.”
