Join thousands of primary schools, secondary schools and colleges taking part in School Diversity Week across the UK. It's a fantastic way to make your school safer, happier and more welcoming for pupils who may be LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) or have LGBT+ families.
The next School Diversity Week is taking place 20–24 June, 2022.
School Diversity Week is Just Like Us' annual celebration of LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) equality in education, celebrated by thousands of primary schools, secondary schools and colleges across the UK.
In 2021, schools and colleges representing 2.8 million pupils signed up to take part. It's a brilliant way to show that your school or college is LGBT+ inclusive, and a great step to support LGBT+ pupils who are twice as likely to be struggling with mental health right now.
Taking part is free and we provide you with a toolkit of resources for across the curriculum and suitable for all key stages. Our primary school resources are all about acknowledging and celebrating different types of families.
You can celebrate School Diversity Week 2022 online and in person, whichever works best for you.
You can sign up now to take part in School Diversity Week 2022 – it's free and we can't wait to celebrate with you. You'll receive a toolkit of resources and inspiring ways you can celebrate with your pupils.

Can nurseries and primary schools take part?
Yes! Join thousands of nurseries and primary schools celebrating different types of families during School Diversity Week. Our resources for EYFS and nursery settings are all age appropriate and are focused on acknowledging and celebrating different types of families, such as lesbian mums or having a gay dad, so that all young people know that being LGBT+ is something to be celebrated. I love that Just Like Us has such high-quality resources out there for free. The History activity about changing attitudes was fantastic ... it helped them to understand that it is possible for attitudes to change.
