Rabbi Anna Posner has created a free online masterclass on what Judaism says about sexual orientation and gender identity for pupils aged 14 to 18, as part of Just Like Us’ School Diversity Week celebrations.
School Diversity Week is happening 21-25 June and will see a range of free masterclasses taking place online, organised by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people’s charity.
Primary schools, secondary schools and colleges can sign up to take part in School Diversity Week, which is a celebration of LGBT+ equality and seeks to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people who right now are disproportionately struggling with mental health, tension at home and feeling less safe in school.
Rabbi Anna Posner’s free online masterclass is titled ‘What does Judaism say about sexual orientation and gender identity?’ and can be watched below.
Join Anna on Wednesday 23 June at 12:30-13:00 for the premiere of his School Diversity Week masterclass.
Rabbi Anna Posner (she/her) studied at Leo Baeck College, she is a lesbian and the rabbi of LGBT+ inclusive synagogue Beit Klal Yisrael in London as well as Norwich Liberal Jewish Community. She is also chaplain to progressive students in the UK and Ireland.
