Just Like Us (JLU) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing specialized services to strengthen families and support ex-offenders re-entering the community. Our mission is to empower these individuals to reach self-sufficiency through innovative prevention, training, education and supportive services. Just Like Us uses a family development approach to lead families along with ex-offenders through a 24-month program resulting in self-sufficiency and community integration.
JLU was founded by Marc and Jana Crosby in 2002. Having navigated their own re-entry process, Marc and Jana understand the challenges ex-offenders and their families face in re-entering communities. Their personal experience, combined with their professional skills and intense commitment to improving access and quality of services for the re-entry population, have resulted in the successful development of the Just Like Us family re-entry program.
