Lord Michael Cashman presents online School Diversity Week masterclass on LGBT+ rights in the UK

Lord Michael Cashman has created a free online masterclass on how LGBT+ rights have changed in the UK for pupils aged 14 to 18, as part of Just Like Us’ School Diversity Week celebrations.

School Diversity Week is happening 21-25 June and will see a range of free masterclasses taking place online, organised by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people’s charity.

Primary schools, secondary schools and colleges can sign up to take part in School Diversity Week, which is a celebration of LGBT+ equality and seeks to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people who right now are disproportionately struggling with mental health, tension at home and feeling less safe in school.

Lord Michael Cashman’s free online masterclass is titled ‘How have LGBT+ rights changed in the UK?’ and can be watched below.

Join Michael on Tuesday 22 June at 15:30-16:20 for the premiere of his School Diversity Week masterclass.

Lord Michael Cashman (he/him) is a former actor, founder of Stonewall and MP, who is also the author of One of Them.

Watch the stream from Tuesday 22 June at 15:30 on Facebook and YouTube.

The content and views expressed in these masterclasses are of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily represent those of charity Just Like Us.
