Just Like Us is delighted to announce that we have been chosen as one of the selected charities for ICAP Charity Day 2020.
We are thrilled that ICAP has chosen to support LGBT+ young people and look forward to seeing many famous faces – including our celebrity ambassador, Dr Ranj Singh – taking part on the day.
ICAP Charity Day 2020, now in its 28th year, will take place on Thursday 10 December. One of the biggest fundraising events in the City, the day sees ICAP donate its revenues and commissions to selected charities, and will take place online this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
This year, ICAP’s fundraising for Just Like Us will transform the way we are able to support LGBT+ young people and make schools more inclusive.
With ICAP’s generous donation, we will develop an online learning platform, which will enable educators nationwide to:
Access curriculum-linked LGBT+ inclusive educational resources that they can use to deliver lessons that meet the needs of their students
Access educator training to develop the skills, knowledge and confidence to be able to talk about equality and inclusion, and support LGBT+ students.
The new online learning platform will consequently empower educators to make lasting cultural changes in their schools, which benefit LGBT+ young people and create learning environments where everyone can thrive.
We could not deliver this project without ICAP’s support. Please do make sure to follow @ICAPCharityDay and #ICAPCharityDay and keep an eye out on social media for our celebrity ambassador, Dr Ranj Singh, who is kindly taking part on behalf of Just Like Us.
Thank you ICAP… more than ever!
