Asifa Lahore has created a free online masterclass on figuring out who you are and living authentically for pupils aged 14 to 18, as part of Just Like Us’ School Diversity Week celebrations.
School Diversity Week is happening 21-25 June and will see a range of free masterclasses taking place online, organised by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ young people’s charity.
Primary schools, secondary schools and colleges can sign up to take part in School Diversity Week, which is a celebration of LGBT+ equality and seeks to improve the lives of LGBT+ young people who right now are disproportionately struggling with mental health, tension at home and feeling less safe in school.
Asifa Lahore’s free online masterclass is titled ‘How do I figure out who I am?’ and can be watched below.
Join Asifa on Thursday 24 June at 14:00-15:00 for the premiere of her School Diversity Week masterclass.
Asifa Lahore (she/her) is Britain’s first out Muslim drag queen and speaks about what it means to be LGBT+, South Asian, disabled and Muslim.
The content and views expressed in these masterclasses are of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily represent those of charity Just Like Us.
