Dear <NAME OF STAFF MEMBER>,
I’m writing to ask whether <NAME OF SCHOOL> is taking part in this year’s School Diversity Week, happening on 21-25 June 2021. (
Organised by Just Like Us, the LGBT+ (lesbian, gay, bisexual and trans) young people's charity, School Diversity Week is the annual celebration of LGBT+ equality in education, celebrated by thousands of primary schools, secondary schools and colleges across the UK.
As a <RELATIONSHIP TO THE SCHOOL>, this matters to me because <REASON>.
The week is recognised by Ofsted as a way school leaders can demonstrate “commitment to raising pupils’ awareness and enhancing their personal development and welfare, including their tolerance and respect for others.”
You can sign up from this link – – and benefit from:
- free online masterclasses for your pupils during the week
- receiving a free online toolkit of LGBT+ inclusive teaching resources
- joining a national network of schools sharing best practice on LGBT+ issues
When you sign up, don't forget to include my name as the person who referred you!
The team at Just Like Us is working to ensure that you can run the week remotely via your online learning platform and access masterclasses led by experts in their field – all for free.
If you’d like more information, you can contact Anthony Melia () – I do hope you’ll take part.
