Anti-Bullying Week poster ideas are aplenty in our new free resources for teachers to download.

This year, Anti-Bullying Week takes place Monday 11 to Friday 15 November in the UK.

Bullying is a huge problem faced by LGBT+ school pupils, who are twice as likely to be bullied than their straight peers. 1 in 5 LGBT+ pupils don’t tell anyone they’re being bullied and just 21% tell a teacher at school. However, by speaking openly about anti-LGBT+ bullying, you can instil confidence in pupils to speak up.

Pupils who have same-sex parents are also more likely to face challenges around bullying, our LGBT+ Parents report found.

Disappointingly, 78% of 9 to 11 year olds have heard others using homophobic language. That’s according to a new school survey of 4,307 primary pupils by VotesforSchools and Just Like Us. This is even more common in secondary schools, where 80% have heard homophobic language.
