Why you need a Pride Group at your school/college – a guide for students
Uncategorized

Pride Groups are lunchtime or after-school clubs for LGBT+, ally and questioning school and college students. 🌈
When you go along to a Pride Group, you can make friends, learn about LGBT+ art, culture and history, and you can work together to make your school a better place.
Maybe your school/college has a club like it? Or maybe you want to start one?
We’re Just Like Us – the LGBT+ young people’s charity – and we can help your school/college to set up or run a Pride Group.
So here’s how to get involved
You can show this to a teacher and ask them to sign up for Just Like Us’ Pride Groups programme!

Does your school have a Pride Group or similar club already?
Then show this to a teacher!

When you’re club is part of Just Like Us’ Pride Groups programme, you will get support from the charity with:
- Student Leader training for you and your friends running the Pride Group
- Staff training
- Resources, posters, ice breaker activities, video content and more!
- Enter our national awards – this year, students from several Pride Groups got to meet Heartstoppers Corinna Brown and Tobie Donovan! Yes, really.
You can find out what happened with the Heartstoppers at the Just Like Us awards on our Instagram and TikTok too.
