What are Rainbow Ribbons?

Rainbow Ribbons are a visible display allyship with the LGBT+ community, and a great way to fundraise for Just Like Us.

Funds raised will support Just Like Us’ programmes in schools, helping all young people to know that being LGBT+ is to be celebrated.

Order Rainbow Ribbons in our shop and use them to fundraise this School Diversity Week or Pride season. Asking for a suggested £1 donation per ribbon will help Just Like Us to support LGBT+ young people across the UK.

Please get in touch if you have any questions about sharing donations with us. You can also send us photos and updates of your school fundraiser successes – we’d love to hear from you!

A pack costs £15 to order to your school, includes 100 individual Rainbow Ribbons and can be ordered in our shop.

Rainbow Ribbons are small fabric ribbons with a safety pin attachment. They’re a fantastic visible symbol of Pride and ideal for school fundraising.

We recommend making your order by the end of May for guaranteed delivery before School Diversity Week. However, orders can be made throughout June as well.

What is School Diversity Week?

School Diversity Week is the UK-wide celebration of LGBT+ equality in primary and secondary schools. It’s run by Just Like Us and you can sign up now to take part.

Just Like Us provides free LGBT+ inclusive resources. For the first time this year, there is also a storytime series with children’s authors. Among the authors reading from their books in video resources is the award-winning Harry Woodgate.

Thousands of schools are signed up to take part and this year it takes place 26-30 June.

Activities range from LGBT+ inclusive lessons, storytime activities to assemblies and school talks from Just Like Us, fundraisers with Rainbow Ribbons and a Rainbow Friday dress-up day.

Resources provided by Just Like Us are entirely free for teachers to use and cover EYFS, KS1, KS2, KS3 and KS4 as well as all key subject areas – including posters, lesson plans, assemblies, form time activities and video resources.

Rainbow Ribbon fundraisers help Just Like Us to provide free resources during School Diversity Week and to support more LGBT+ young people.
