The Museum of London has created a free online masterclass on the history of the LGBT+ community in the capital for pupils aged 11 to 16, as part of Just Like Us’ School Diversity Week celebrations.

Primary schools, secondary schools and colleges can sign up to take part in School Diversity Week and access the charity’s full range of free online masterclasses.

School Diversity Week is the UK-wide celebration of LGBT+ equality in primary school, secondary schools and colleges.

The Museum of London’s free online masterclass is titled ‘How has London’s LGBT+ community used clothing to explore identity?’ and can be watched below.

The Museum of London documents the history of the UK’s capital city from prehistoric to modern times. Martina (she/her) and Jen (they/them) will take you through history and discuss how London’s LGBT+ community has used clothing to explore identity.

It is part of a series of online video resources – featuring Natasha Devon, Alexander Leon and Lord Michael Cashman – produced by Just Like Us for schools.

Watch the stream on Facebook or YouTube.

The content and views expressed in these masterclasses are of the speaker(s) and do not necessarily represent those of charity Just Like Us.
