Dear LGBT+ young people,

It's spring-summer 2020. We usually come to visit you in schools. Most of you are at home right now,  maybe without those teachers or friends who make life awesome for you.

But the Just Like Us community is filled with hundreds of young LGBT+ ambassadors, and we're at home too. We're committed to brightening your time with LGBT+ stories, recommendations and quizzes on our social media.

Welcome to #JLUatHome:

Decide on and create our online digital content for diverse LGBT+ young people

You can volunteer if you’re 16-17 years old, LGBT+ and living in the UK

Looking for fantastic ways to fill your time from home during this strange period?

Great, because we’re hosting an online programme of entertaining, educational and heartwarming content for LGBT+ teenagers; and we’re looking for LGBT+ teenagers to organise and create it. Put your organisational skills, team work and interest in media to good use, to bring together a community of UK LGBT+ young people who want to learn more about LGBT+ or are in unsupportive households.

As a result, you’ll join a positive community of LGBT+ people online, pick up skills and experience and have your work represent a national LGBT+ charity. And you’re only named if you want to be.

“I was happy to be able to get involved in creating content. It feels nice to be able to do stuff for LGBT+ kids despite schools being closed.” - volunteer

“I struggle with being LGBT. But seeing your posts reminds me that the world is full of colours, not that black and white as my neighbourhood sees it.”

We’re looking for digital ambassadors by the end of April. Express your interest.
